Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between movable Do and fixed Do?
In movable Do, the tonic of the current key becomes 'Do' (e.g., in G major, G is 'Do'). In fixed Do, C is always 'Do'. Fixed Do is common in many countries, while movable Do is excellent for training relative pitch.
How are errors classified?
'Half-step off' means you were one semitone away, 'whole-step off' means two semitones. 'Key signature oversight' means you forgot a sharp or flat from the key signature.
How does the difficulty system work?
Notes you answer incorrectly automatically appear more frequently. As your accuracy improves, you'll get more practice on your weak spots. Progress is saved in your browser.
